It’s so important to invest in yourself, a lesson I’ve only recently come to understand. I realized that loving myself wasn’t enough. I needed to actively show myself the same love and care I offered to others. This meant treating myself with the same, if not greater, kindness and respect that I gave to the people around me.
Once I began to truly give myself the love I had been pouring into others, something powerful happened. Not only did I feel more balanced and whole, but the love I was able to give others deepened and thrived as well.
