Good Morning World!!

“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”

Happy birthday to my Dad. It’s been 22 years since you’ve been gone. Our relationship wasn’t always easy, but none of that changes the fact that I miss you. Over the years, I’ve learned that grief doesn’t really go away. It ebbs and flows. Some days you barely notice it, and other days the emptiness is right there. I think what hurts most is not being able to share your life with someone anymore, to tell them what’s happening, celebrate the good moments, or simply know they’re there. Still, with time, I find myself holding onto the good memories more than the bad ones. And for that, I’m grateful.

And to those grieving someone you love, be gentle with yourself. Grief has no straight line. Take the good days and the hard days as they come.

Happy Tuesday!
