As we enjoy this Labor Day, remember what we’re actually celebrating: American workers and the labor unions that fought for fair wages, better benefits, shorter hours, and safer working conditions. Those same unions are still fighting for workers while corporations work to weaken them. Let’s be honest, the trash Republican leadership has repeatedly chosen to side with corporations and billionaires over working people. So while you enjoy your day off, remember the history behind it. And this November, pay attention to who is actually fighting for workers and who is working for the people at the top. If you want better wages, benefits, and working conditions, you must vote for leaders who genuinely care about Americans.
