Now that we are in a new year it’s time to talk about your social media. As I state in my book, “many times women make the mistake of using social media to show what they are doing every minute of everyday, or even using social media as a therapy session to air out everything that bothers them. Doing these things can actually hurt your dating life.”

Yes, your…Facebook…Twitter…SnapChat…Instagram…can actually hurt your dating life. Why? Because, you are making yourself look unattractive. I am not just talking about photographs. I am talking about how you use your social media.

Social media is a marketing tool, not just for business owners, it’s a tool for marketing YOU. If you are single, it is one of your best tools to gain and keep the interest of a man you may date. When men check social media (and believe me they do!) they are looking not only at your pictures but everything you say.

If you have a bunch of memes talking about how bad men are to you, or you are airing out your dirty laundry, or you are just constantly complaining in general, you will definitely be marketing yourself as unappealing. You do not want to do that.

Start this year fresh.Your social media accounts are a part of your appeal. Use them to your advantage!
