Women are changing how they approach dating, (and I’d like to think my book has something to do with it!). Women are dating more than one man at the same time, and many men do not seem to like it at all. Recently, on Facebook, a young woman posted a video stating that she has no intention of ever being a girlfriend again. She has decided that she will only commit to a man within an engagement to be married. There is also a woman who coaches women on how to “get the ring” by refusing to date exclusively until the woman receives a marriage proposal. Both of these women have caused a bit of a brouhaha online. Some men are claiming that they would refuse to date a woman who chooses to date more than one man without commitment.
The men’s reactions are particularly amusing to me because I know that dating multiple men is an effective way to find a husband, if that is your goal. While I am an advocate of women dating to fit their own life goals, marriage or not, I state in my book, “Dating more than one person is the key to learning how to date. It is also the key to figuring out what you really want.” – Date Like A Woman. In general, men have always dated this way. Men are also more likely to marry a woman they really want to be with. Men understand that dating more than one woman is how they find exactly what they are looking for. When women date more than one person at a time, they not only focus in on their true desires, they too increase the likelihood of forming a relationship with a man who is most compatible with them. In addition, they are more likely to attract the man who wants to commit to them.
While some men are upset at having to “compete” for the affection of women, “Dating several men at the same time is…a great way to weed out the guys who are only slightly interested in you.” Date Like A Woman. This means that the man who is only dating you to pass the time, with no real intention of forming a serious relationship, will simply fade away. Men won’t compete for the affections of women they are not all that interested in.This makes it a win/win situation for women, especially women who are looking for a serious commitment.
Women, if you are single and want to get married, dating multiple men at the same time is a very effective way to find a husband! And, to those men who are upset about women dating multiple men; get used to it!
