I posted “Why Single Men Are Lonelier Than Single Women” yesterday and I have gotten quite a few disturbing comments from men on my Instagram, so I have decided to share some. The men who made these comments are in clear need of therapy. I have decided to dissect and analyze these comments to understand their underlying meaning.
This guy doesn’t see women as autonomous humans but only as instruments for men to use since he thinks that women who choose to be single or end relationships over “pet peeves” are selfish. It’s also clear he thinks it’s ok to be violent to women who don’t behave in the way he desires.
This is another man who believes women are selfish for not “committing” to men. This one also sees women not conforming to the power of men as the “destruction” of society.
This guy, like a lot of men, somehow believes they are supposed to possess the woman they were with forever. They also have the delusional belief that they own everything and women have no ownership of anything including themselves.
CLEARLY, this guy needs help with getting over a relationship. He actually thinks he was used instead of the relationship didn’t work out.
Men make comments like this a lot on my content. It’s classic projection. Instead of commenting on the subject men will often make a comment about me personally. The fact that he thinks being single is a “dim situation” means that’s how he feels about being single.
When men offer up personal information about themselves that no one asked for it’s like a highlighter on what a man is insecure about. This man is clearly insecure about never being married, having children, and his income.
