Good Morning World!!

“Do not let your difficulties fill you with anxiety, after all it is only in the darkest nights that stars shine more brightly.” – Ali Ibn Abi Talib

One of the most frustrating things about living with anxiety is how it can catch you completely off guard. It often sneaks up when you least expect it, derailing your thoughts and making even the simplest moments feel overwhelming. For me, it can take a while to calm down and find my way back to a sense of normalcy.

What I’ve learned about anxiety, though, is that it’s essentially my mind playing tricks on me. It creates scenarios that aren’t happening, things for me to worry about that don’t actually exist. It’s like a shadow that distorts reality, making everything seem bigger and scarier than it really is.

When my anxiety flares up, I’ve found it helpful to pause and remind myself of the truth: I am okay. In this moment, I am safe, and I am capable. The stories anxiety tells, those worst-case scenarios and fears, they’re not real. They’re lies. The truth is, I’m stronger and more resilient than my anxiety would have me believe.

Facing life’s challenges isn’t easy, but it’s important to remember that you’ve overcome difficulties before and you can do it again. Whatever happens, you will find a way to handle it. You’ve already proven to yourself that you’re capable of navigating tough times.

So when anxiety creeps in, take a deep breath and center yourself in the present. Let go of the lies anxiety tells you, and focus on the truth: you are okay, you are strong, and you will get through it.

Happy Thursday!
