Good Morning World!!
“I find, in being Black, a thing of beauty: a joy a strength a secret cup of gladness.” – Ossie Davis
Somehow, as the world burns, we’re expected to keep going like nothing is wrong. But that’s not possible. We’re all living through chaos, carrying grief and rage, and still trying to function. It’s a mental Olympics every single day.
But let’s be clear, this is nothing new for us. Black people have always carried the unbearable and still moved forward. Our ancestors survived slavery, the absolute depths of human horror, and somehow kept living. That strength didn’t disappear, it’s in our DNA.
So yes, it’s hard. Yes, it feels impossible some days. But remember who we come from. Remember what’s in us. We fight. We resist. And we keep going, because survival is who we are.
Happy Wednesday!
