None of us will survive this moment unless we choose to live authentically and commit to protecting the most vulnerable among us. “We” are “the people,” and we have to remember that as we weather this storm of hate. WE can overcome it, but only if we show up as neighbors who support one another.
I say this as a Black woman who stands in solidarity with those being targeted by this corrupt administration, while also recognizing that Black women have already carried more than our share of the burden on the front lines. This moment calls for everyone to find their place in the fight for what’s right and to stay engaged without giving up. Love will win, but only if we hold on to it and to each other.
