Buon Anno!!

Happy New Year from Italy!

If you had asked me two years ago, or even last New Year’s Day, if I thought I’d be ringing in the new year in Italy with my family, I would’ve said absolutely not. Even three months ago, after my mom’s fall, I never would have imagined this moment. And yet, here I am, welcoming the new year in Venice with my mom and my daughter.

This trip has already been incredible. I don’t know what it means for the future, but right now, it feels like a good year is ahead. I’m a little anxious, sure, but I’m also hopeful and looking forward to what’s to come. If last year taught me anything, it’s that you never really know what can happen, how things will turn out, or how strong you are until you have no choice but to be.

For now, I’m just deeply grateful to be starting the year with my family, in a place I’ve never been before, making memories I’ll cherish forever. I hope you’ve been enjoying this journey with us—because we’re not done yet. There are still more Italy days ahead!

Happy New Year! May 2026 be your best year yet. ✨
