Good Morning World!!

“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.” – Native American Proverb

Becoming a mom has been one of the most rewarding and challenging journeys of my life. It’s funny because, in many ways, I thought I was guiding her, but the truth is, she’s been showing me who I really am all along. When people say children depend on you, they usually mean for food, shelter, and love. But what they don’t tell you is that your child becomes a mirror, reflecting the best and worst parts of you. They will absolutely let you know if you’re doing a good job. And trust me, if you’re not, they’ll let you know that too, sometimes in the most unfiltered, brutally honest way possible.

What humbles me the most is realizing that no parent gets it right all the time. We all stumble, we all have moments where we question ourselves, and we all make mistakes. But if your heart is in the right place, if your intentions are rooted in love and the desire to give your child the best version of yourself, they feel that. Children have a way of recognizing authenticity, they know when they are genuinely loved and valued. And when they know that, they continue to choose you, flaws and all.

That understanding is what keeps me pushing forward, striving for more, not just for me, but for her. She deserves a mother who is constantly evolving, growing, and reaching for her highest potential. And honestly? I deserve that for myself too. We both deserve the world, and I’ll never stop fighting to make sure we get it.

Happy Sunday!

~ Kai
