Good Morning World!!

“You can do anything but not everything.” – David Allen

I often find myself in the position of doing many things for many people, whether it’s family, work, or community responsibilities. And while I take pride in being dependable, I’ve had to learn the hard way that I simply can’t do everything. Trying to do it all only leads to exhaustion and burnout.

Over time, I’ve come to understand that just because I can take on something doesn’t mean I should. Being the “reliable one” often means people assume you’ll always say yes, but constantly overextending yourself is not sustainable. You have to be intentional about where your time and energy go. You have to assess what truly requires your attention and what can wait, or be delegated.

Learning to say “no” isn’t about being selfish, it’s about self-preservation. It’s about creating space to function fully, care for yourself, and show up meaningfully where it truly matters. You don’t have to carry every load. It’s okay to let some things go. You’re not failing by doing less, you’re making room to thrive.

Happy Friday!
