One thing I know for sure about myself, and about Black women, is that we get things done. No matter what’s required, we rise to the occasion. This past week has been incredibly challenging for my family, but each of us, my mom, my daughter, and myself, stepped up to handle what needed to be done. That’s how I know we can overcome anything. We just do what we have to, and we keep moving forward. Sometimes, that’s exactly what it takes.
