Why would a guy I casually dated 5 years ago ask me for details about my sex life with my current boyfriend?

Dear Amber,
As I say in my book, “The truth is, if a man was ever into you, he will always come back, it can be a week, a month, a year, ten years, men will always come back.” It is in a man’s nature that if he ever genuinely liked you he will feel compelled to reach back out to you later. Men can’t help it. They will always come back around. Which is why it’s perfectly fine to let a man go. If he is truly into you he will be back at some point.
As far as asking about your sex life, “Men are competitive. They are socially conditioned to be competitive. In general, most men want to win.” – Date Like A Woman. His compulsion to ask you about your current sex life is because he wants to compare himself to your current boyfriend. It is also his way of seeing if there is weakness in your current relationship. Hopefully, you told him you are amazingly happy and hit the block button to shut that door!
