As someone who is fiercely independent and naturally takes care of other people, I’ve learned not to take genuine friendship for granted. Asking for help has never come easily to me, but I’m incredibly fortunate to have friends who check in on me, notice when I need support, and offer it without being asked. If you have people in your life who may not be part of your everyday routine but somehow always show up when you need them most, cherish them. Those are the friends who truly matter. They remind us that even the strongest among us don’t have to carry everything alone.
