Good Morning World!!
“Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” – Robert Kennedy
We all have a responsibility to stand against the tyranny unfolding before us. Even the smallest actions can create a ripple effect that leads to real change. While I firmly believe that much of the burden in this fight should fall on white people, those who have historically benefited from and upheld oppressive systems, we all have a role to play in resisting. No one can afford to be passive.
Resistance takes many forms. It can mean being intentional about where and how you spend your money, prioritizing Black-owned businesses and small, independent companies over massive corporations that exploit and oppress. It can mean consistently calling your representatives, demanding change, and refusing to let them operate unchecked. It can mean donating to grassroots organizations actively fighting against this corrupt system, using your voice to share essential information, and ensuring that those around you stay informed and engaged. It can mean voting in special elections and local races, where real change often begins. And most importantly, it means being brave, standing firm in the face of injustice and refusing to back down, even when fear and exhaustion creep in.
This fight is not just about the present, it’s about the future we want to build. True democracy doesn’t happen by accident; it requires action, commitment, and sacrifice. This fascist regime thrives on complacency, but we have the power to disrupt it.
So make choices that align with the world you want to see. Stay engaged, stay informed, and most of all, stay committed to the fight. Change is possible, but only if we make it happen.
Happy Thursday!
